God Is Love, Christian Love Poem

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8

What a wonderful thing love is. Whether it is the love shared between a mother and son, daughter and father, husband and wife, or two siblings... one thing is certain, we live for love. I was thinking about God's love yesterday, and that is where I drew inspiration for this poem. God is love. Everything he does for us, shows his exemplary love for us. We all have an innate desire to love and be loved, and as my poem suggests, perhaps that is because we are made of love. If God is love and we were made in his image, and from birth our desire is to love, we can pretty much assume it is in the fabric of our being. Tell someone you love them today. ~RD
