Christian Poem, Starring You

Matthew 6:25

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Starring You Labels, logos, stamps, and trademarks. Hallmarks, getting you nice remarks. Dressing in the latest fashion to fit in, always wanting to cash in, to be thin. But what is a life without him? The outward appearance is fading. Living for looks is degrading. Your heart is more beautiful than your eyes. So why hide behind some fake disguise? This life is more than what you eat or wear. More than how you dress or do your hair. Who cares? When in the end we all fade, we all age, none of us will ever be the same. Yet our insides... they never change. Not physically anyways. They do grow in strength and love with lessons learned. Our inner-being advances with more pages turned. Bridges burned. Like the bridge that leads you to world admiration. But that destination, only leads you to a bad location. So burn that bridge and go the other way. Forget about the body that grows old and gray. Don't worry about anything, but instead pray for everything. Through his love, you will never fade, and you'll never be dismayed. He'll show you how beautiful you really are. You won't just have to shine, you can be the star.
